Five weeks and counting ...
[07:53] [Thursday, November 02, 2006]

Well, it took about three times longer than it should have, but we finally got our radar mount in. Granted, we didn't lose any money in the process of having to switch from the original purchase to a mount that actually fits our radome, but you'd think when a company's losing money, they might step up before they're confronted with the possibility of losing more ...

But I digress.

This weekend we install the radar (hooray!) and maybe even install a freshwater footpump ... Will we sail? If the weather doesn't give us the finger and force us to stick to our slip ... We'll see. :P

Six weeks and counting ...
[02:12] [Sunday, October 29, 2006]

Pardon the dust around here. I'm still working on figuring out what makes up our content, let alone getting it all together in the right places. :)

Progress on Sol Searcher as far as prep-work goes still coming along well enough. Brady spends every weekend "planning" on taking her out for a sail, but instead busies himself with a million projects at once.

While testing our brand-spankin'-new Roller Furling and headsail, we broke a stanchion, which brought to our attention their terrible condition. Funny how a 30-year-old vessel turns minor projects into far larger ones without any consideration for our schedule ... But we love her, anyway.

This weekend's projects: soundproofing the engine/generator locker, fixing the autopilot (done!) and possibly sending our poor stanchions to someone who can weld them into better shape.
