Into the Wide Blue Yonder
[11:40] [Friday, December 15, 2006]
Okay, so we're a day late. But the boat is in such great shape the time we lost was worth every penny, so to speak. Sol Searcher will top off her tanks at Port Aransas before exitting the jetties and beginning her trip across the Gulf of Mexico.
Last night we were tired; this morning's fog and last-last-minute troubleshooting left us exhausted; but the wind in our faces and B-E-A-Yootiful water around us has the crew energized and way ready for the journey ahead.
Pictures coming, I promise. But first -- lunch.
Tuckered Out
[20:42] [Monday, December 11, 2006]
The past few weekends have been hectic, as anyone might expect. Maintenance projects we didn't think would need to be addressed have sprung up left and right, but better now than underway, and Sol Seacher is still on schedule! We sure are tired, though. :(
Sadly, all the business has left us no time for taking more pictures, BUT when we have a chance further south you can be sure there will be plenty! Crossin' our fingers for an uneventful next couple days -- And then, onward!
